Hello! A little about me…
Born and raised in La Crosse, Wisconsin, like a lot of people I’m in love with the Driftless region and the natural beauty that surrounds us here. I live in the city with my husband, Michael, and our three cats (Spike, Mitus and Kitty). We both are avid movie lovers, so you’ll often find us either at the Rivoli for one of their movie marathons or at Marcus where we sit and enjoy popcorn. In my spare time I enjoy reading and writing, and I’ve taken up creating an Instagram account where I document my bookworm tendencies!
My background is predominately located in retail management, and it was in my previous career as a Customer Experience Team Leader for Goodwill NCW that I came to find that I enjoyed marketing. But I didn’t start off in that position, I ended up working my way up from the department team leader over Apparel into being more focused and geared towards the customer experience. I learned so much about myself in my career with Goodwill and I will always be thankful for what I was able to accomplish and learn during my 7 years with that company.
I was first asked during one Halloween to be a part of the marketing campaign as being the representative for a fashion show that was to be shot in our store. I enjoyed being able to share not only my experience with the brand, but to be able to share my story and the story of the lives Goodwill impacts, all wrapped up in the fun wrapper of a costume fashion show. From that point on, I was picked to handle any brand engagement when the opportunity arose, often being featured on a local segment called ‘2 Minute Take’.

Having a hands on interaction with the store layout and how marketing materials interplay with the way that a store is structured was a huge interest to me in my day to day duties. With my role being focused on ensuring that the experience of our customers was tailored to feel genuine and cohesive I worked hand in hand with the marketing materials provided to ensure consistency as well as organic interaction with our customers and the mission of the company. Its really where I fell in love with all that marketing can do!
One of the scariest things I chose to do was to leave my career at Goodwill NCW to pursue a career in marketing, specifically Digital Marketing in the Spring of 2022. As an older student (34!), I thought of no other college in La Crosse than Western to embark on my educational journey! Each semester that has passed has only cemented my feeling that I have made the correct move and I’m excited to grow into a career within Marketing.
I see myself excelling in Marketing as a chance to tell a story, and share with people every day what not everyone thinks of at first, and that is the story behind the brand or the business!
